Let's Talk Racist Highways

    The highways across America are racist.  Did you know that?  I as a Gen-Xer have to stop and weep that highways from fifty years ago were built in certain areas because non-whites lived there.  Never mind that there have been many white neighborhoods that have had their neighborhood disrupted due to a highway going through them- it doesn't matter.  Every white neighborhood is covered with trees with pristine water sources and clean air.

    Uh-huh right.

    Here's a question for all of you:  what is it that you want?  Seriously- what?  A functioning society needs highways, so what's your answer?  Tear down the highway in a black or Spanish neighborhood?  Okay, say you tear it down- then what?  Are you going to build a new highway near the home of any of these celebrities?  To the black communities, say you lose then your highway, what then?  Will you be happy then?  I highly doubt it.  My guess is if you lose your highway or don't get that highway close by- you'll bitch then.  My guess is that you won't be happy then.

    My message to you is this:  Shut-up about American highways.  Get over it.  Highways are a fact of life.  I have no idea why certain ones were built in certain areas- I WASN'T IN THE GODDAMNED ROOM WHEN IT HAPPENED but guess what?  They're here- GET OVER IT.  Move.  Oh wait- you hate rural America too much.  America is a society that's never happy and a lot of people better shut-up and start appreciating the advantages they have right in front of their faces.
