The Case For Iron Maiden In the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame

So, the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame announcement is coming today and the big question is- will Iron Maiden make it in?  Can they do it?  They don't need it but we, as Generation-Xers, need them in there.  We need to hear their name called.  Why?

Generation-X is an extremely weak generation.  Not all of them are, mind you, because there are many fighting the good fight.  However, if Gen-X was strong there would be no critical race theory in school, cancel culture as a whole wouldn't exist and we wouldn't have unqualified people like AOC deciding public policy.  Gen-X sold out, basically, for the pleasure of playing electronic toys, particularly cell phones.  Why do I think that well consider this...

Generation-X, the ticked-off generation, has no problem surrendering their background and what they liked to younger generations.  They have no problem with Millenials declaring that we just love rap music or Nirvana (gag on both) and telling us that we're 'boomers.'  That's what I hate more than anything.  I'm nothing like a baby boomer and yet thanks to Millenials, Gen-X and Baby Boomers are one in the same.  I say fuck off to that but that's another argument for another day.

Iron Maiden entering the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame is acknowledgement of a generation that has been pushed aside.  It's a check for those in small town and middle America who cruised the streets in the '80s acting tough and blasting it in their dad's car.  They are a reminder of those who used to really enjoy concerts.  Iron Maiden is a symbol of individualism.  Again, they don't need the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.  They are a famous, well-respected band who will continue to sell out arenas for as long as they continue playing.  Generation-X needs this- they need it more than you realize.  We are not the rap/Nirvana generation.  We are the hair metal/Iron Maiden, Judas Priest generation and we need this for our own psyche.  A rejection of Iron Maiden today is a rejection of Generation-X.
