There Is No Journalism Anymore
Journalism in the USA is extinct.
Seriously, journalism, in the United States of America is extinct. People hate Glenn Greenwald for pointing that out in certain instances. He is 100% correct at their assessment of the public and I couldn't agree with him more when he talks about so-called journalists calling themselves privileged. Kudos to him for calling them out.
In a functioning democratic society that claims a 'free press,' journalists wouldn't let America get into this paranoid state. Real journalism would question the politicians who continuously preach 'fear.' Real journalism would question policy and make sure that the word 'accountability' would become ingrained in the American vocabulary. Real journalists don't worry about criticism- they remember their jobs. They make sure that America is on the right path to a functioning society.
What we have today isn't journalism. Greenwald is right when he refers to them as privileged bullies. Supposed journalism today is lazy which makes it all the more empowered to continue to 'go after people. they deem bad.' Twitter is the backbone of the lazy, privileged cowards that call themselves journalists and they continually use it to beat people into submission to hate each other. Thank god Greenwald is out there to all this out and may he continue to expose the rot that is in so-called 'journalism.'
