The Democratic Party Doesn't Exist
The democratic party doesn’t exist
anymore. It’s extinct. It doesn’t exist. The democratic party has turned into
something that resembles the oligarchy which disguises itself as a democracy. Let’s note that this is further in
development. If the democratic party was
categorized on the IUCN Red List, again, it would be considered extinct.
As a democrat, I’m absolutely
horrified.
As a Gen-Xer, I grew up thinking that
the democratic party was the party for the people. It protected people with unions, made sure
that food and the environment was protected and that no matter what Social Security
would always be there. If you wanted
something to get done, you easily could depend on the democratic party.
Not anymore.
The only thing the democratic party cares
about is please Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and those she finds worthy to be
considered the Squad. More time has been
spent berating those who confronted Cortez (the Yoho incident) and screaming
about a mentally ill woman in Congress who has now been empowered by a media
that won’t shut-up and people in Congress who do nothing by tweet. Just think about it for a second, we have people
in Congress that spend more time tweeting than debating or making laws in the
halls of Congress.
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, a 31-year-old
representative in Congress, has the power to make Congress all about her
needs. She has the ability to make sure
that she’s never questioned. She makes
sure that who she likes is worthy of attention.
She calls the shots and she’s ready to make sure she’ll be the one to,
in the future, possibly control legislation.
And that’s why the in name only democratic
party is now an oligarchy.
