The Apologetic Grand Slam

 

          What in the hell has happened to my favorite sport?  Why in the hell is political correctness even in sports?  Why in the hell is the term ‘apology’ even associated with baseball?    

Fernando Tatis Jr. you shouldn’t have apologized.

If you’re a baseball fan, you’ve already heard about this.  Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres had to apologize for hitting a grand slam due to the fact his team had a big lead and he hit it on a 3-0 count.  Apparently, everyone had a fit from the Rangers to Tatis’s own manager.  The code was broken people and Fernando Jr. had to be punished.

Good god, this overly sensitive society we live in is annoying.  Why is this even an issue?  Why isn’t the pitcher being criticized for even getting to that point?  Why is a manager even worried about the other team having hurt feelings?  Why has society reached a point that baseball needs to be ‘sensitive?’

Fernando you should’ve never apologized.

As for the world of baseball, be careful where you’re going here.  Play for your fans, not political correctness.
