Sad State of America

          This is a tough time in America.  We have a dysfunctional president with a crazy Congress.  We have no healthcare and the economy (despite the slow openings) is still at standstill.  The answer seems to be have politicians and celebrities wave their fingers and lecture about staying at home.  The big question is this:

          What the hell are we going to do?

          I have no freaking answers here.  Trump is the ultimate distraction.  He is as Dylan Ratigan says ‘the village idoit.’  Democrats don’t want you to see how awful they are so they keep pointing at Trump and screaming, “Blame him! Blame him.”

          We, the public, are all to blame for this.  We’ve all let ourselves be distracted by fake promises on Twitter and fancy speeches from Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  We’ve let ourselves settle for pathetic speeches instead of holding politicians accountable.  We never move on the word accountability because we are reassured by tweets that ‘oh sure the democrats are falling apart.’  Uhhuh right.  The democrats are falling apart- don’t I wish.  However, they’re still as strong as ever and do you know what people?  They’re never going to change.  Do you know why?

          They’re all too comfortable and they all know they have a job for life.  There is no pressure on any of them to do actual work.  When’s the last time Bernie Sanders actually made some real legislation?  Seriously, when?  Guess what?  He doesn’t need too- he’s famous now and he can talk his way through the rest of his term.  AOC for all misconception that she’s going to be voted out- has this seat for life.  Warren isn’t going anywhere and she’ll continue waving her hands doing nothing.  We’re stuck and we’re also in a really rotten state of apathy.

          It shouldn’t be like this.  This is the greatest country in the world- it shouldn’t be run by a bunch of old, out-of-touch, power-mad, greedy politicians that know NOTHING about what real life is like.  Our government has proved that it hates the people and your progressive heroes people sneer at you too.  Just remember that.
