The Climate Change Food Impact Report
I don't have to go into anymore details. You already know that a report was released citing the impacts of climate change on the food chain. If you don't know the story, I suggest that you take a look. It's a good report. It's reasonable, matter-of-fact and it gives great suggestions on what to do to help the situation.
Unfortunately, and this is one cat's opinion, no one is really going to take it seriously. As a matter of fact a lot of people are going to say, "F*** off" to any idea of changing his or her diet in order to fight climate change. Why do I say that? Easy...
Have you taken a look at people lately? Seriously, have you? People are sloppy, overweight and junk food rules the world. It's easy to say change your diet but how in the world can you expect people to do that when people don't even go out that much anymore. People's lives center around their cell phone- you can shop and literally buy your food without budging and it's to intoxicating of a situation to even expect people to change. Besides that, the report is basically meaningless for these reasons.
People, basically, aren't stupid. They read the stories of celebrities jetting to exotic locations to talk about climate change. They remember that AOC for all of her rantings was never seen riding a bike through Central Park or promoting the NYC subway. As a matter of fact, the story of AOC taking UBER is still in the back of people's minds. Middle America is going to literally say f*** off and say, 'You celebrities and politicians change first before you lecture me."
You really can't blame people to be honest. That report waves its finger and yet, there's still drilling in the Arctic, rainforest destruction, etc. Here's my question to anyone that puts out these reports:
When are you going to stop with the lecturing and take hard stands?
You stop worldwide destruction in the Arctic and then I'll listen and I bet a lot of others will too.
