So, Congress Wants a Raise
They can dress it up all they want.
They can pat themselves on the back too.
It doesn't change the fact that with so much turmoil and stagnation in wages that the House really has no right to bring up this idea that they need a raise. Considering the fact that...
...farmland is underwater...
...Trump is tariffing everyone into bankruptcy...
and wages seem to be at a permanent pause.
Look, I don't know what possesses anyone to feel sorry for anyone in Congress no matter what the party. They have the entire world at their feet- a good salary, pensions, travel opportunities and even luxury living in some cases. The last group of people that anyone in this country should feel sorry for is a group of 535 people who seem to do no work but manage to pat each other on the back due to that modern innovation known as Twitter.
See, that's just it isn't is?
Twitter is the place for cons. Why do you think Trump loves it so much? You can throw words out there without consequence. You can literally be who you want at anytime. Any b.s. bought to you by your congressional member is easy to swallow- after all it's Twitter people- you can say anything and NO ONE CALLS YOU ON ANYTHING.
The idea of Congress wanting to give themselves a raises is not only stupid, it's flat-out disgraceful. It's funny isn't it- we have no money for anything yet when it comes to a stupid wall or raises- suddenly it's there. Stuff your raise, Congress, and go to hell while you're at it.
