The New Zealand Why
I don't have to tell you what happened.
You've seen the news and it's just SAD...
The question is- WHY??? Why does this keep happening??
The easiest answer is the rhetoric. The slamming of different races and religion is everywhere, you know it and so do I. The online world has made it worse. Everyone has some kind of theory. Now, what exactly could be the cause? I could take a guess- you may or may not agree but it's worth exploring.
The online world, no matter how much you love it, has done a lot of damage. It's made people anti-social. Wait a minute!! I can hear you howling right now. Technology! Technology! We have to have technology. Sure we do people, but there is this idea of constructing a balance between real life, the media and the online world. If I'm giving you a headache just think about this for a second-
The media has some culpability in these shootings. With the disappearance of newspapers and newspaper articles centering around the words of Twitter which include a lot of racist language from Trump, republicans and the democrats. YES PEOPLE- no matter how the democrats pat themselves on the back they thrive on racist language in order to pander for votes. Where does it end? It gives birth to people like this. The media, as I've stated, has a lot of culpability here. Why?
The news here (and even in parts of the world) is non-existent. Non-existent is an open term. Why? You get the basics but if you read stories from the AP- you have the feel of Twitter, Instagram, etc. Research and work for a story has disappeared. YEAH- I KNOW- SOME IS STILL THERE but a lot of it isn't. The point is when you center around Twitter you open the door for racist ****** like this New Zealand shooter.
With more and more of a push to depend on an online world, including artificial intelligence, I believe that events like what happened in New Zealand will get worse. We, as a society, better start taking a good look in the mirror on how anti-social and how hateful some of us have become and some of your so-called politicians better start leading instead of pandering and patting themselves on the back.
