25 Questions for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez About the Green New Deal
As you know, I'm just an inquisitive cat, so when I hear about this Green New Deal I can't help but wonder the following....
(And yes there are more than 25 questions here- I'm just so-oooo good at getting a question within a question.)
1. Have you walked through Central Park recently? What is their success with regards to attracting birds to the park?
2. What birds are you aware of in your 14th District?
3. Have you ever volunteered in a litter pick-up crew in New York or while you were at college?
4. What makes your Green New Deal better than anything Ralph Nader ever talked about?
You do know who Ralph Nader is, don't you?
5. Why did you feel it necessary to tell a bunch of kids to skip dairy to fight climate change?
What were you thinking? Not every family can afford fancy dairy substitutes and there's the simple fact that everyone NEEDS CALCIUM.
6. Did you know (and I just found this out) that doctors tell people on some chemo not to eat fruits and vegetables? Now, Ms. Cortez if you want everyone to go vegan- what in the world are a lot of sick people going to do, starve?
7. Why is it that you're even the face of climate change? It's obvious that, despite what you say that you come from a privileged background- I couldn't afford Boston University. Of course, I know for a fact you're no thrift clothes shopper and you traveled on a campaign run for people so you tell me- as a healthy, privileged city girl why you?
8. I see your Green New Deal wants to have trains everywhere. So, you tell me- Amtrak can't get their tracks updated and people like to fly anyway. How in the world are you going to convince people to use a train?
9. I hope you saw that article that stated the cold weather is doing a number on electric cars. So, tell me, how are you going to make it possible for them to run smoothly besides having all of those nice charging stations everywhere?
10. You know Ms. Cortez, I'm all for Green Energy but how are you going to force seniors to use it without giving them an idea on what they'd pay for solar panels, etc? Not everyone has a salary over 100,000.
11. How are you going to put up windmills in Pennsylvania when old mines are causing the ground to sink?
12. Do you realize how literally STUPID you sound mentioning cows? You can throw all of the stats at me all you want but with all of the technology this country has can you definitely tell me that you can't find away to make farming better?
13. Do you hate farmers Ms. Cortez?
14. Where's a plan involving reforestation?
15. What are you going to do about the Halliburton loophole?
16. Are you even CONCERNED AT ALL about any animal protections? You can't have a Green New Deal without a healthy environment.
17. Do you even want a Green New Deal for the whole country? To me it sounds like that you don't really care about rural America.
18. Where's your plan to clean streams and ponds?
19. Are you going to ride a bike everywhere now to prove your not a hypocrite?
20. Why are you making power plants a race issue? Power plants hurt all races not just blacks.
21. With all of this talk of a Green New Deal I have to laugh at the influence of what it seems to be a lot of people who are from India. There's nothing wrong with that mind you but you tell me- that's one of the most polluted countries in the world- why should I pay attention to them?
22. Why the blame game? Why are you acting like Millennials are so victimized by climate change? I hate to tell you this Ms. Cortez it was your age group that sent retail downhill-putting more cars on the road- screwing up the environment more- not mine.
23. What are you going to do about the landslides in this country? You can't do anything unless you have a reliable foundation.
24. Are you giving up your electronic devices because all that mining for the metals comes with a cost to the air?
25. Again, you tell me Ms. Cortez, what makes you a 29-year-old from the Bronx such an expert on climate change?
Let's note to anyone who reads this- if there was anything out there that was a real hardcore media- they would make her answers questions like this. Social media has made it very easy for her to wave her hands and tweet without details and someone better take a good, hard look at this and make sure that there's room to grow here because this is a vain woman, something tells me it's either her way or the highway.
