Ocasio-Cortez and the Press

Look, I don’t want to write about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  She doesn’t need the publicity and her ego is BIG ENOUGH.  However, she said something the other day that made me fall off the chair laughing hysterically.  Apparently, Ms. Cortez is worried about the status of the press.

          AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA….

I can barely type this without laughing.  Are you kidding me?  Are you freaking kidding me?  She’s worried about the status of journalism?  Ms. Cortez you need to send everyone in the media a thank you card.  Weak journalism is making you prominent and since most journalists are lazy as hell and only use Twitter as their source, your prominence is running wild.

My god lady- what an ego you have.

Ms. Cortez, as a member of Generation-X (and yes, I know you can’t stand people over the age of 40), I remember the days of beat reporting.  You would’ve never survived it.  The pathetic state of journalism can give a person a headache.  You are prominent due to these facts:

1.      You don’t answer questions.

2.      You rip anyone who criticizes you without consequence by calling them either too old or a racist.

3.     You play the blame game on everyone about issues but fail to acknowledge your generation’s responsibility on problems in society.  I’ll give you a great example- climate change.  She can scream about companies all she wants but it’s funny how her generation is the one driving malls to extinction.  How’s that Amazon ordering working out, Ms. Cortez?  Did you forget all the emissions all of the trucks shoot off when making deliveries?  What about take-out?  All food deliveries aren’t done by bicycle.

Here are examples of how the press benefits this woman.

1.     She never answers for any past action.  Let me give you a great example for this- remember that clothing she modeled right after she won her primary?  Twenty years ago she would’ve faced a wrath of, “Why didn’t you use clothes from Macy’s?”  “Why didn’t you promote New York City shopping?”  Well, you get the idea.

2.     Her word is always taken at face value.  She whines about money on Twitter, yet somehow no one ever answered who paid for her to travel all over the USA last year campaigning for ‘progressive’ candidates.  After all, even if this was taken care of by someone else- she’d need personal spending money.

3.     People never ask aboout supposedly campaigning for Bernie Sanders in 2016.  If I remember correctly, Hillary Clinton creamed him in the Bronx.  Why didn’t the press call her out on this?

4.     She’s getting away with being the so-called ‘face of climate change.’  Where are the press questions?  I mean COME ON! She’s 29 years-old and she supposedly lives in the Bronx.  Don’t give me this b.s.  If real journalism existed in this country this idea that she’s such a ‘climate change expert’ would’ve been discredited.  She would’ve never been able to ride that wave to any prominence.

5.     The press also stays away from and criticizing or discrediting articles due to the fact that she can scream SEXISM OR RACISM!

Ms. Cortez, here’s a piece of advice for you.  Don’t whine about

something that has made you famous.  You are the luckiest person on the face of

the planet.  You will never answer anything because of your sex and your race.

In other words- SHUT-UP ABOUT THINGS YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT!
