So, You Want a New Speaker...?

In 2019, as you know, the democrats will take control of the House.  No-no, just wait before you get too excited keep in mind that Nancy Pelosi is probably going to be Speaker of the House.

Did anyone just hear the air go out of the balloon?

I don't need to tell you Nancy Pelosi's past activities as House Minority Leader.  If you belong to this party, you've had nightmares about it practically every other day.  Since Nancy Pelosi has become a prominent name, if you're a democrat, you've also done the following:

1. Winced any time she opened her mouth.
2. Had your mouth drop at how she views the attitude of the American voter.
3. And you've literally punched a wall at all of the overall destruction she has caused the democratic party- the lost seats, the state legislatures, etc.

But all of this doesn't mean much, does it?

I don't know about any of you but I don't get the rationale of the democratic party.  Instead of celebrating the overall fact that this was a great team win, we've immediately sprung into 'clique mode.'  All of sudden the democratic party has turned into the 'women's party' and the 'party of minorities.'  While that's great, something really dangerous is happening- all of these back-patting people are telling white male democrats to take a hike.

Whoa!  I know what you're thinking- what does that have to do with Nancy Pelosi?  That's an easy answer- it's a matter of timing.  As Nancy Pelosi rose to national prominence so has the democratic party's disgust of the white, male democratic voter.  Now, BEFORE YOU GO INTO HYSTERICS- think about the word racism before you throw it out there.  This isn't so much about racism- it's about the fact that there are a lot of selfish people that don't want to share power with the white, male democrat.  The sad thing about this is unless you really stop and think about what this paragraph is saying a lot of you will write this off as racist.  So, just in case, let's go further.

I'm sure a lot of you, who identify as democrats, had a male figure in your life that was one as well.  Now, my late dad was what you call a 'FDR' democrat.  If he could've gotten away with it-he would've became a Ralph Nader groupie.  He probably would've liked Bernie Sanders and he would've driven people to the polls to vote for him if he would've been around.  If he was here, right now, he'd be horrified at the disgusting attitude that a lot of women in the House and Senate have towards white males.  For some reason the women in power have dubbed all of them 'conservative,' 'misogynistic,' or just an uneducated 'Trump lover.'  Males have been backed into a corner due to a lot of presumptions and the fact that a lot of these women don't want to roll up their sleeves and get into it with regular people.

However, the power of women in Washington is something to behold.  According to them, someone like my dad, who probably knew democratic politics better than they did would be a 'racist, uneducated, evangelical' who would be more than likely to vote for Trump. Someone telling that to him in to his face would be something to watch- the man would've went Fred Flintstone on whoever would throw that out there and blow his top!

What does this have to do with wanting a new Speaker of the House?

The smear game that started years ago with Pelosi's rise to power has literally extinguished any possibility of having any sort of change in the democratic party.  If you even make one remark about her leadership you get raked over the coals.  Somehow people have forgotten her track record and have actually turned Pelosi into some kind of icon.  Somehow the democratic party has taken the ideas of 'moving ahead' and threw it out the window.  It's either the woman's way or the highway. If you're a white male in Congress forget any kind of opportunity to move ahead.  When the mention of any kind of new leadership gets the screams of MISOGYNY that should indicate to you how power-mad Pelosi really is.  People- if her name was 'Norman' do you really think everyone would be so pumped up for her to be Speaker?  Of course not.  Do you think if this was any other republican president in there besides Trump that the democrats would've taken the House?

Of course they wouldn't...

The democratic party, as I was growing up (I'm a Gen-Xer), was what you call the party of all people.  Supposedly, these were the good guys- if you were male, female or a minority- you had this idea that they'd welcome you in.  Now, it's been swallowed by females. They have the power and they're not going to share it.  You're not going to get your new Speaker people and you will probably get your Republican House back in 2020 as well.

Power has taken the place of the 'common good' for the party. Get used to it. Pelosi's going to be Speaker and that fact disgusts me....
