What Will Make People Yell Enough When It Comes to These Endless Cancellations?
Today was supposed to be pretty
special. Today would’ve been a 10 year
streak of seeing Punxsutawney Phil.
Thanks for nothing COVID-19.
Yeah, as you can see I’m
disgusted. Disgusted isn’t the
word. I’m ticked-off. Isn’t it funny how people can ‘protest’ but
when it comes to going to something like seeing Phil, oh no that’s not safe-
not a chance. Did you happen to notice
something about these ‘lockdowns?’
Lockdowns have really destroyed the sense of community that people
have. Go ahead- prove me wrong…
I’ll wait.
What?
No answer? Well, think about it
for a second. During lockdowns, the mom and pop restaurant automatically
closes but hey no matter what Walmart is open.
Forget the small town bookstore- that’s a hazard but hey just head to
Target if you want to read. Punxsutawney Phil isn’t safe yet, last summer,
this state had violent riots that trashed the King of Prussia mall, downtown Philadelphia
and Pittsburgh. Never mind about
Portland or what’s going on in the Pacific Northwest- that’s just fine. Hanging out- in a field, in the middle of
winter with a scarf on your face is unsafe.
And no one seems to have a problem
with this…
I cannot be the only one asking- what
in the hell is it going to take for people to yell ENOUGH. I don’t want to spend my life in front of a computer
screen. I want to have fun again. What’s it going to take for people to want
answers about sports, concerts and events like Punxsutawney Phil?
The virus isn’t going away people but
it sure looks like anything fun is. How
in the hell are we going to save it?
Maybe a better question is WHEN?
