Chartered Beto

Charter schools bug me.

If you're in favor of them, great.  That's your choice but oh boy the thought of the downgrading public school system and the fact that you hear a steady stream of public schools closing in various states (for a number of reasons mind you) can just leave you dumb-struck.

Now, I'm assuming that you know about Beto O'Rourke's wife being a head of a charter school.  By the way here's a very good refresher on what a phony Beto seems to be (note- it's an old article):

In my eyes, you can tell a lot about people who champion charter schools, especially if they consider themselves democrats.  First, the union angle (obviously) signs of supporting charter schools tells me that you have no desire to protect workers rights in any kind of field.  You can't cherry pick here- if you're not for unions- you're not for workers and to me you're not much of a democrat.

Secondly, charter schools are phony.  Maybe that's why people like Beto O'Rourke supports.  Neither have a sincere bone in their bodies and you can tell by the way they act.  They pander like they're open to all, no matter what but in the end they'll give a few the advantage and stick it to others.  You can apply this concept to any form of policy- there's no sincerity in supporting a charter school- no desire to help all.  Charter schools, in my eyes, are for the privileged, and supporting them tells me you're going to put a certain 'few' before the many.

Finally, support for charter schools tells me again- there's a lack of concern for children as a whole. If you want to please just a few- what are you going to do to make me believe that you're going to take care of any issue involving children.  A democrat supporting public education tells me that you're willing to roll up your sleeves and work to help all kids not just the few.

The fact that Beto O'Rourke is so tied in with charter schools is actually very disturbing.  Naturally, the media will gloss over it but beware of Beto's words.  He says a lot of fancy things but in the end he's going to stick it to you when he has the chance.
